To enable layout mode, click on the "Layout" button at the bottom of the site editor. This will enable layout mode. In layout mode you get different editing controls than in content mode.
Content Mode | Layout Mode |
The classic editor where you can add and remove content, edit your text and image. This is the default. | Lets you adjust the gaps between sections and change more in-depth layout settings. |
Editing in Layout Mode
Once you've enabled layout mode, move your mouse over the site preview, to see what you can edit:
The drag handles (A) allow you to change the gaps between elements or to resize elements where possible. The layout menu (B) contains options for structured list layouts. Click on the layout menu button to open the menu.
Once you've opened the menu (C) you can change how you want to display the items in that container. You can chose between a list view and a grid view. Both options lead to similar results but behave differently as content adjusts to different screen sizes so be sure to test them both on mobile and on desktop views.
